Nicholls Canyon

Vestavia Hills, AL

Built in 1954 by a prominent local builder for his family, this 6,000 SF midcentury modern “rambler” is set on a 3.5 acre estate overlooking beautiful Jacobs Creek.

The Nicholls Trust acquired the property to complete a full design redux and renovation of the home prior to sale. The home incurred substantial foundation, structural, and water damage, and the Moseley Group was hired to complete an extensive twenty month restoration and modernization of the property.

We loved working with Laurel Limbaugh Interiors, as well as So Spiffy for our staging.

The before and after pictures truly tell the tale of this beautiful old lady, who was born again for a new generation.

Rocky Brook

Vestavia Hills, AL

Built in 1992, this 8,000 square foot transitional style home was one of our first solo architecture commissions and sits on two acres in the Rocky Brook foothills.

The double height foyer and den are the centerpiece of the home where natural light and wonderful views of the surrounding hills and old growth forest truly shine in.

We worked closely with Pandy Agnew Interiors. Dick Keydoszius was the Builder, and the Moseley Group provided construction management services.

The elegance of this charming, stately home speaks for itself.

Mountain Woods

Vestavia Hills, AL

Built in 1955, this simple 1,500 square foot tract home was a box of boxes, sitting on top of an unfinished basement, with meager room for gathering with family or friends.

The Moseley Group transformed this home with three key elements: a central open plan, modulating ceiling heights, and a selective use of expansive sliding doors and windows. Only 640 square feet was added in the addition but the change was inspirational.

The basement received a children’s den, a bath, a guest room, and a kitchenette. Finally, the entire rear terrace, pool deck, and pool shell were renovated as well.

Gazing up at the soaring canyon hawks from the pool terrace at dusk was a favorite family past time.

The Cottages are located in the wonderful walkable neighborhood of West Homewood, just two blocks from Hall Kent School and four blocks from Patriot Park and Pool.
